WHOA, MAMA!
‘BLINK and you’ll miss it!” a journalist joked of the duchess’ barely-there bump. As in her previous pregnancies, Kate has kept her slim figure – with a bump that looks more like a food baby than a space for a seven-month-old fetus – and has only started to look like she’s expecting in the final trimester.
After months of desperate searching, royal fans can finally relax – there’s definitely a bump – and she put it on glorious display on tour.
Her Swedish fans got their first proper glimpse of Cambridge kid No 3 when Kate wore a forest-green Catherine Walker dress, semi-sheer tights, block court shoes and her Kiki McDonough green amethyst drop earrings when she and Will joined Sweden’s royal family for lunch and a walk around Stockholm.
The following day, under her much talked-about hound’s-tooth coat by Catherine Walker, she donned a bespoke Alexander McQueen bouclé-tweed dress. The pretty cream empire-line design was perfect for showing the little blue-blood growing inside her.
But it was during what was possibly Kate’s most glorious couture moment that she put the little prince or princess on full display. At a glittering gala at the royal palace in Oslo, Norway, Kate donned a blush Grecian evening gown, also by Alexander McQueen.
Like the tweed dress, the gown featured a chic empire-line cut and a floaty chiffon skirt and regal cape detail. With a nod to her grandmother-in-law, she accessorised with a sparkling diamond bracelet the queen wore on her wedding day.
