Black Panther

After the death of his father, King T’Chaka ( John Kani), in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Prince T’Challa (Boseman) returns home to the East African kingdom of Wakanda to take the throne.
As both Wakanda’s ruler and the Black Panther – the superpowered protector of his secretive, technologically advanced country – T’Challa faces various challenges, including stopping South African arms dealer Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) from selling the extremely rare metal vibranium he stole from Wakanda on the black market. But unbeknown to T’Challa, an even more serious threat tied to his family’s past is looming.
In this visually stunning adventure we get to know the man behind the legend of the Black Panther, his moral standpoints and phenomenal capabilities.
There’s been a lot of hype leading up to the release of this 18th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but it delivers in all aspects. The entire cast give phenomenal performances, especially Serkis and Jordan as the villains, and the film should receive praise for its strong female characters such as Okoye (Danai Gurira), Wakanda’s formidable general, and Shuri (Letitia Wright), T’Challa’s tech-genius younger sister.
With breathtaking backdrops, overwhelming action sequences and a well-rounded origin story, this is one of Marvel’s best movies about a great hero you’ll want to see more of.
