At 979m, Angel Falls in Venezuela, South America, is the highest uninterrupted waterfall on Earth. It was named after Jimmie Angel, a US pilot who was the first person to fly over the falls, in 1933. It’s also called Kerepakupai Vená by the indigenous Pemon people, which means “waterfall of the deepest place”.
