FANS of beautiful celeb pairings had barely recovered from Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s recent shock split when they were rocked by reports that ZAYN MALIK (25) and GIGI HADID (22) had officially broken up. Suspicions were first raised when the former One Directioner unfollowed Gigi – whom he’d been dating for two years – and her mother, Yolanda Hadid (54), on Instagram.

A few days later followers’ fears were confirmed when they announced their decision to split on social media, with both vowing to continue their “close friendship”.

“The reality is that they’ve grown apart,” an insider told UK newspaper The Sun. “They have crazy work schedules that would put pressure on any relationship.”

Shortly before the split was announced the Dusk Till Dawn singer raised eyebrows when he shared a shirtless selfie on Instagram along with a cryptic caption which read: “When life throws you lemons catch ’em so they don’t hit you in the f**king face.”

Days later the newly single heart-throb was spotted looking sullen and deep in thought in the backyard of his Miami mansion. Some of his loyal fans expressed concern over his lean physique as Zayn has been open about battling an eating disorder in the past.

But most people wanted to know what Zayn was going to do about the tattoo of Gigi’s eyes that he’d given pride of place on his chest. This is the same guy who’d inked over the tattoo of his former fiancée, PERRIE EDWARDS (24), in 2016.

Maybe lighten up on the tattoo parlour sessions next time you fall in love, Zayn?
