IN BRIEF
Plogging is an activity done in Sweden. It involves cleaning up the beaches and city as you jog or walk. What a wonderful way to keep a country clean! SA can sure do with this as we’re one of the filthiest countries in the world. So people, take a bin bag and gloves, get out there and get cleaning. CLEAN UP, MIDRAND
I’d like to say that the fiction illustrations by Mindi Flemming are excellent! They capture the essence of every story. Thank you, Mindi! ADMIRER, SMS
To add to the idea of Sandra from Cape Town (YOU Say, 15 March), hair salons should also ask their clients to bring their own towels, to reduce their laundry loads. BERYL, CAPE TOWN
This morning when I was driving to work there was a truck broken down in the middle lane. The driver was directing the oncoming traffic, just like a pointsman. That little gesture allowed traffic to flow smoothly. While waiting for help he put the time to good use. Well done! ROSIE ROBERTS, SMS
I agree with the reader who feels left on the scrapheap (YOU Say, 15 March). I’m appalled at how little support there is out there for us older women who so diligently contributed to the growth of this country and are now considered good for nothing. Most of us can still make a meaningful contribution but are denied the opportunity because of our age. MAD AS HELL, SMS
Atul, Ajay and Rajesh Gupta, you’re a disgrace to South Africa, your adopted country, and a disgrace to the human race. May you all rot in jail. BARBARA, FOURWAYS
