Reunited!
ELTON JOHN (71) and husband DAVID FURNISH (55) were recently reunited with a very special little boy during a trip to the Burrabazar festival in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The superstar and his husband of 13 years were visibly moved when they caught up with LEV AGEEV (10), whom they’d tried to adopt in 2009 but were turned down as Ukraine doesn’t recognise same-sex marriage.
The failed adoption didn’t stop the couple, who are parents to Elijah (5) and Zachary (7), from being Lev’s guardian angels. The Rocket Man singer reportedly helped the boy, his brother and their grandmother move to the safety of Lviv, a city in western Ukraine, when their lives were threatened by conflict in their native Makiivka a few years ago. Aw!
