YOU (South Africa)

IN BRIEF

-

I loved your giraffe knitting pattern (YOU, 17 May). Here’s the one I knitted for my neighbour’s new baby girl. MIKAELA, RONDEBOSCH Congratulations to Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green (YOU, 7 June). She stood out from the very start. DEBBIE, SMS I’m in my forties and have recently noticed a lot of dark pigmentation on my face, especially on the cheek and nose area. I’ve tried salon treatments, peels, creams – nothing works. Is there any treatment that anyone has used that yielded positive results? I’m desperate. SHARMAINE, SMS I’m a librarian at a private school and I discovered your new children’s magazine YOU Did you Know? yesterday. I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen for children. Congratulations. I hope the magazine will go from strength to strength. VERONICA VAN DER MERWE, EMAIL I’d like to know if Jannie Mouton had perhaps suffered brain injury (YOU, 17 May). My late brother-in law was a boxing Blue at his university in England and was diagnosed with dementia at 55. We were always of the opinion that it was due to injuries sustained during his boxing days. ANNETTE MILLS, KIMBERLEY Cash-in-transit heists have become the norm in this country and nothing is being done about it. Why? Crime is out of control. I think the defence force should be deployed to regain control. WENDY, MIDRAND
