Mel B headed for rehab

-

Dark times for former Spice Girl MEL B. The star (43) is entering rehab for alcohol and sex addiction after an “incredibly difficult” six months. She revealed she’d been drinking heavily since her divorce last year from American producer and director Stephen Belafonte (43) and the death of her father, Martin Brown.

Mel, whose real name is Melanie Brown, is planning to enter a treatment centre in the UK to get help after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me. I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it’s been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life,” she says.

Her admission comes after close pal Rusty Updegraff told news sources her drinking and “sexual appetite” had spiralled out of control. Rusty, who distanced himself from Mel during her marriage to Stephen but has since grown closer to her, says she’s “sex-crazed” and slept with up to three men in one day in the wake of her messy divorce.

“Mel has got crazier over the years and I’ve had enough. I cannot deal with it anymore. She’s drinking every day that she isn’t working,” Rusty claims.

“Her sexual appetite is out of control. You can’t take any straight guy round to her house.”
