BEAUTY SECRETS

-

It seems Julia is naturally beautiful. “On a regular day I’ll just brush my teeth, wash my face and apply sunblock,” she says.

And unlike many of her peers who are paleo fans, she refuses to give up carbs.

“I love a good cookie,” she says. “And why is everybody scared of pasta? Pasta never did anything to you.”

Apparently she’s just blessed with good genes and a forgiving metabolism – but maybe it helps that she’s a fan of yoga and Pilates and makes a point of working out four times a week.

But despite still looking so young, Julia says she’s trying hard to make peace with the ageing process. “Just realising that it’s going to happen whether I like it or not,” she says.

S“I felt it was important for my kids to know who I was going off with, pretending to be their mother.”

Julia is also in the Amazon series Homecoming in which she plays counsellor Heidi Bergman, who helps war veterans adapt to civilian life. And she’s gearing up for her fourth campaign for Italian hosiery firm Calzedonia – and it will be Danny who does all the camera work as she shows off her shapely legs.

Julia says she’s looking forward to working with her husband again. “Shooting a film together is a lot of work and time. A commercial is a shorter schedule and that usually makes it easier and even more relaxed.” LEFT: Julia (in shades) and a family friend with her kids, (from left) Phinnaeus, Henry and Hazel, who she says have no idea she’s a movie star. ABOVE: She’s been married to Danny Moder for the past 16 years.
