COMEDIAN KEVIN HART is one of the busiest stars in Hollywood, with countless sell-out comedy tours and smash-hit movies. And the 40-year-old keeps up that frenetic pace in his personal life too. His Instagram page is littered with pictures of him pumping iron at the gym and fooling around with his three kids. But the Night School star will have to go slow and steady from now on after being badly injured in a car crash.

He’ll reportedly need extensive physical therapy following surgery to his back to repair the major injuries he sustained in the accident earlier this month.

Despite the long road ahead – and questions about what really went down on the night of the crash – Kevin can rest assured he has Hollywood’s full support. He’s received well wishes from many celebrity friends, including rapper Ludacris, Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews, his Central Intelligence co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Bryan Cranston, his co-star in The Upside. Kevin was said to have been in the front passenger seat of his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda after it veered off the road, crashed through a fence and landed in a ditch in his hometown of Calabasas, California.

Kevin’s actor pal JARED BLACK (28) was driving, according to reports. Also in the car was REBECCA BROXTERMAN (31), Jared’s fiancée and personal trainer to Kevin’s wife, ENIKO (35). A witness claimed to have heard tyres screeching then a loud boom. Police are investigating whether excessive speed could’ve caused the crash. Kevin fled the scene straight after the crash and, according to reports, his security team drove him to his home nearby where Eniko called emergency services. Although news outlets are saying Jared was driving, rumours are flying that Kevin was at the wheel and may have fled because he was intoxicated. A witness who was first at the scene claims to have seen Kevin’s security guard remove him through the driver’s side window before they sped off, leaving Jared and Rebecca trapped in the vehicle. In a 911 call placed at the scene a witness noted that he saw only two individuals (Jared and Rebecca), explaining in the audio that both were “conscious but scared because they’re stuck in there”.

Kevin bought the vintage car – which he nicknamed Menace – as a gift to himself on his 40th birthday in July.
