Custody showdown
WHAT started out as an amicable split has gone downhill fast! Less than a month after CHANNING TATUM and JENNA DEWAN peacefully ended their nine-year marriage, the exes are headed back to court.
The former golden couple, who announced their split in April last year, recently became embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their six-year-old daughter, EVERLY.
Jenna (38) was apparently blindsided when Channing (39) filed court documents earlier this month asking a judge to create a holiday custody schedule for their daughter.
Communication between the pair has deteriorated to the point where Channing felt as if he needed to go the legal route to make sure he gets quality time with Everly over the holidays, insiders say.
For her part, the World of Dance host apparently feels as if her ex-husband is grandstanding because she’d previously signed off on the full schedule.
Jenna also alleges her ex doesn’t allow her to video call Everly when she’s with her dad and that he rarely video calls his daughter – despite their mutual agreement to a mandatory daily video call.
But Channing – who’s since moved on with singer Jessie J (31) – maintains he video calls the nanny’s phone when he wants to reach his child because of how difficult Jenna can be.
Child support is another bone of contention, according to US news site TMZ.
Although Jenna says her ex isn’t paying up, the Kingsman: The Golden Circle actor claims they both have access to a joint account that covers their daughter’s expenses.
Looks like little Everly will be having two Christmases this year . . .
