REGÉ-JEAN, THE ADONIS OF HOLLYWOOD

-

MIRROR, mirror on the wall, who’s the handsomest of them all?

It will probably come as no surprise to Bridgerton fans that, mathematically speaking, REGÉ-JEAN PAGE is the hunkiest man in Hollywood. A new study using the golden ratio equation of beauty shows that the 34-year-old’s face has 93,65% accuracy. Coming in a close second is Thor actor CHRIS HEMSWORTH (39) at 93,53%. Next in line is Creed star MICHAEL B JORDAN (35) at 93,46%, and fourth is singer HARRY STYLES (28) at 92,30%.

Dr Julian De Silva, the British cosmetic surgeon who’s been compiling the list for years, uses digital face-mapping software to analyse the faces of several celebrities. The software relies on a mathematical formula, also known as Phi or the Fibonacci number, to calculate a ratio of symmetry and proportion based on the position of a person’s facial features.

Research has shown that humans react positively to symmetry. The closer a person’s face is to the golden ratio, the more attractive they are perceived to be by others.

Last year Killing Eve star Jodie Comer proved to be the most beautiful woman in Hollywood, coming in just 1,3% short of having the perfect facial ratio. She was followed by Zendaya, Bella Hadid and Beyoncé.

Julian says the new technology ”is useful when planning patients’ surgery.”

But critics have slammed it for promoting unrealistic beauty ideals in a time when body positivity diversity are being celebrated. So, whether beauty is in the eye of the beholder or science is definitely up for debate.
