When it comes to hair this season, the message is clear: the wetter, the better. From totally drenched to slightly damp, slicked hair appeared in many looks on both runways and on the red carpet. The best part? This versatile hairstyle works with straight, curly, wavy hair of any length, slicked back, in updos or ponytails and is not only super easy to achieve but a great lastminute solution for hair in just about any state.
GET THE LOOK
Start by air-drying or blow-drying hair until it’s damp to the touch (styling products don’t adhere best to wet strands).
Next, combine hair cream and gel (gel is great for adding hold, while cream adds volume and moisture and combining these two products will help create a wet-hair look that lasts) and apply a generous amount to your hair and comb through. If you have short hair, apply the product from root to tip; for long hair, apply from the roots to mid-lengths.
Once the gel-cream mixture sets, spray on a hair-gloss spray as this will help boost shine and make hair look wetter.
Lastly, to hold the look in place and prevent frizz from messing with your slick style, spray your hair with hairspray.

GET THE LOOK
