NAILED IT OR FAILED IT?

‘I just never liked my voice that much. If I had my choice, I probably would have another one, but I didn’t get my choice. I got my mother’s voice’ – Cher’s startling confession about her pipes in an interview in Paper magazine

DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON, LIL WAYNE and TRAVIS BARKER recently had their wax figures revealed – but they were met with mixed reactions as some missed the mark while others were almost life-like. We take a look.

FAILED IT DWAYNE

The Grévin Museum in Paris, France, thought they were on track in creating a figurine in the actor’s likeness, but they got one very important detail wrong – the colour of his skin.

“I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at the Grévin Museum so we can work on updating my wax figure with some important details and improvements, starting with my skin colour,” he said on Instagram.

The wax figure’s skin tone has since been adjusted but the movie superstar is yet to comment on the update.

NAILED IT TRAVIS

Madame Tussauds did such an amazing job with the Blink-182 drummer’s wax figure that you’d have to do a double-take to realise it’s not him. From his tattoos to his eyes and eyebrows, the replica was spot on. “I’m honoured, I’m flattered, I’m shocked. It looks so f ***** g real,” Travis shared at the unveiling ceremony.

“Come say hi to my clone at Madame Tussauds”, he later said on Instagram.

FAILED IT LIL WAYNE

The rapper was the first to call out the fact that his wax figure at the Hollywood Wax Museum looks nothing like him. “Sorry wax museum, but that s**t ain’t me. You tried though and I appreciate the effort,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

His fans were quick to add their dislike too. “Lil Wayne? Look like Lil Cane,” someone wrote on social media.
