THE RELUCTANT ROYAL

-

I have no sympathy whatsoever for Camilla (YOU, 23 November). This dreadful woman knew from the day she first met Charles that he was destined to be king one day and that his wife would have a very public life.

Diana would’ve made a perfect queen. She had poise, refinement, breeding – and incredible beauty. Instead of her, Charles now has a haggard old bat.

She can now stew in her own juices, as far as I’m concerned. Camilla got what she asked for and that means a public life where she’ll have to meet and greet thousands of people, whether she likes it or not. She made her bed, now she can lie on it.

It saddens me to read that the recent British royal visit to Kenya was seen as disappointing, especially where Queen

It’s sad, as Diana would’ve made a beautiful, hard-working queen.
