RENEÉ’S ODD RANTS

-

RENEÉ RAPP has been raising eyebrows lately with her unfiltered and sometimes bizarre comments. The 24-year-old has had so much to say in interviews during her recent press run for Mean Girls 2 that many reckon she’s in dire need of PR training. In one instance she went off on a tangent about a man named Buddy, a bus company owner, who treats her friends badly. Addressing the camera directly, she says, “If you’re watching this, I can’t stand you, and I hope your business burns. You’re so disrespectful and so misogynistic.”

Given that the question was about how she prepared for her role as Regina George, it left both her co-star sitting next to her and the interviewer flummoxed.

When asked what she thought of Lindsay Lohan aka Lilo – star of the original 2004 film who makes a cameo in the new flick – she thought the interviewer was talking about the Disney movie Lilo & Stitch. In another instance she said she’s ageist against millennial women and claimed not to know why pop icon Kylie Minogue is famous, thinking it was because she made wine.

Despite her blunders, she’s come out in strong support of other female stars.

Last year she came to Drew Barrymore’s defence when a stalker approached the talk-show host while they were doing an interview on Drew’s talk show. She stepped between Drew and the man and walked her off stage.

In another discussion about her collaboration with Megan “Thee” Stallion on the Mean Girls track Not My Fault, rather than talk about the song she complimented the rapper’s derrière. She also shared her hatred of Tory Lanez, the man convicted of shooting Megan in the foot. “I’m like a true, true Meg supporter, and um, I hate that other man,” Reneé told Extra.
