THE ‘SECRET STASH’ FOR THE KIDS

-

Albert has long welcomed his kids from former lovers into his life, but Claude claims he still kept secrets from Charlene when it came to spending on his older offspring.

The prince, he alleges, has an account at BNP, a private French bank, under the name AG for Albert Grimaldi. It’s from this account that Albert spends on his eldest daughter and son to avoid Charlene knowing about it.

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi (31) receives $86 000 (R1,5m) every three months, Claude says. Jazmin, an actress and singer, is Albert’s firstborn. The prince had a brief fling with her mom, Tamara Rotolo, a US waitressturned-estate agent, in 1991.

Jazmin – who spends her time between New York, where she has an apartment, Los Angeles and Europe – now enjoys a good relationship with her dad and siblings.

Albert also pays for “kidnap and ransom insurance” for Alexandre Coste (20), his son with Nicole Coste, Claude claims. Albert and the Franco-Togolese former air hostess had a fiveyear relationship between 1997 and 2002.

Claude doesn’t clarify why Alexandre is at risk of being kidnapped. He grew up in the posh area of Knightsbridge, London, and last year moved to New York.

He also has a great relationship with his dad and siblings, Alexandre told Tatler magazine, and hopes to one day become an ambassador for Monaco. Albert has financially supported both children, neither of whom are in the line of succession, after paternity tests confirmed he was their father. The “revelations” about his spending mean nothing, those close to the palace say. “It’s unclear what Palmero is hinting at here,” the insider adds. “Albert is a very generous man who has always been a good father to all his children.”
