THINGS were heating up in Mexico and we’re not only talking about the weather. LUPITA NYONG’O and JOSHUA JACKSON enjoyed a steamy breakaway in Puerto Vallarta to celebrate the Black Panther actress’ 41st birthday.
The couple had been keeping things private since getting together late last year, but now it’s clear they’re a solid thing.
They were snapped taking romantic strolls on the beach and embracing after running into the waves together and were also seen passionately kissing on a nearby yacht. “They looked madly in love, like they just couldn’t get enough of one another,” an onlooker told E! News.
Lupita and Joshua’s rebound romance started in October – around the time they both went through significant break-ups. Lupita had just broken up with SELEMA “SAL” MASEKELA (52) and Joshua (45) and his wife, JODIE TURNER-SMITH (37), announced their divorce in the same month.
The split with Sal, the son of SA jazz legend Hugh Masekela, was acrimonious, with the Oscar-winning actress posting messages about a devastating “deception” by someone she loved. This led to much speculation that Sal had cheated on her, but it was never confirmed.
The Dawson’s Creek actor has himself faced scrutiny over the years for his comments about affairs and whispers that he has cheated in relationships.
He started dating Jodie in 2018 and in June 2019, while they were still together, he was photographed kissing a mystery woman at LAX airport.
The couple seemed to move on from the incident swiftly and got married just two months later after Jodie proposed.
Last year while promoting his show Fatal Attraction, Joshua again raised eyebrows when he told The Sunday Times, “I think an affair can be forgiven.”
“We’re all grown-ups. No one wants to be cheated on and there is massive repair to be done,” he continued.
