It’s goosebump time with this new documentary series, which promises a deep search for the truth behind various South African religious beliefs.

“Every person has the need to belong and regularly seeks something to fill the void with faith,” says Wynand Louw, head of content at POP24, the production company behind this documentary.

“The series aims to explore different beliefs and groups and get to the bottom of what is true – why people believe in their faith and why the public are sometimes sceptical about these groups. We don’t only look at the NG [Dutch Reformed] and Catholic churches, but also at other groups. We provide all the information in a balanced way, but we don’t shy away from the controversy that these beliefs provoke.”
