Tip
Eating nuts – in particular cashews, almonds and macadamia nuts – is a great way to give your milk supply a boost. They’re high in good fats and antioxidants. Apricots, especially dried apricots, contain phytoestrogens that help to balance the hormones involved in lactation. Apricots are high in fibre, Vitamin A, C, potassium and calcium. They also contain tryptophan, which naturally boosts prolactin levels – that’s the hormone that stimulates milk production.
