Eggs and Soldiers

4 eggs Pa­per crowns to dec­o­rate 4 slices of toast but­ter Mar­mite (op­tional) 1 Place the eggs in a saucepan filled with cold wa­ter. Make sure the eggs are com­pletely cov­ered. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring the wa­ter to a boil. As soon as the wa­ter boils, turn off the heat and place a lid on the saucepan. Leave for 5 min­utes, then drain off the wa­ter.

2 Let the eggs cool slightly, then place each one in an egg cup and dec­o­rate with a crown.

3 In the mean­time, toast some bread and spread with but­ter (and a light smear of Mar­mite if your child likes it). Cut into thin strips and eat with the boiled egg.
