SIGNS OF AN EAR INFECTION – ALSO KNOWN AS OTITIS MEDIA – INCLUDE:

Your baby is pulling at her ears. Fluid draining from the ear, usually yellow or white.

An unpleasant smell coming from the ear. Fever and/or irritability. Reduced appetite. Crying whenever you put her down and difficulty sleeping, as the pain gets worse when lying down. Ear pain and/or a headache. Lack of balance. Diarrhoea and vomiting – the infection can also affect the gastrointestinal tract.
