CAB SERVICE FOR CHILDREN LAUNCHES IN CAPE TOWN
How confident are you that your child is transported safely, correctly strapped into the appropriate car seat and driven by someone who is as reliable and responsible as you? Cool (Kids’) Cabs, the cab service focused solely on transporting children safely from school, launched in Cape Town in January.
Founded in 2009 in Johannesburg, Cool (Kids’) Cabs has been a mobile caregiver for children for close to a decade with more than 8 000 pickups per month.
With only the highest safety standards in place, drivers ensure all children are correctly strapped into an appropriate child restraint at all times.
To top it off, the service has driven more than 5 million kilometres – injury-free – in eight years!
“We strongly felt the need to turn the current model of scholar transport on its head. We wanted to break the negative, stereotypical perception and deliver a positive, workable solution,” says owner Tiffini Wissing Hein.
All Cool (Kids’) Cabs have an advanced tracking system monitored 24/7 by a highly skilled team of office-based supervisors who remain the parent’s point of contact at all times. All vehicles are regularly maintained and daily checks are done before leaving the office. As part of their commitment to safety, the company has a strict rule of no more than four children to a standard vehicle.
