WEIRD DREAMS DECODED

-

We asked intuitive energy healer Helen Randal-Smith to explain some common strange pregnancy dreams. “Due to the shape of my baby’s head, it always measured a week or two larger than the rest of his body at each of our checkups. All of this led to many dreams of a giant bobblehead baby. The worst was the dream where I was breastfeeding him but his head was twice the size of my torso! First thing I checked when he was born was the size of his head – and I’m happy to report that he was perfect in every single way!” – Annali van Rensburg, mom to Bernard (12 weeks) Helen says: This dream was just a way of Annali dealing with the anxieties and responsibilities of becoming a parent. Despite its theme, it has nothing to do with the baby being born with deformities. “I always had dreams about my baby’s feet sticking out of my stomach – even his legs would stick out!” – Anonymous, mom to 14-week-old son Helen says: Chances are that the baby was active while in her tummy. Usually when the expectant mother is at rest, the baby seems to really start jumping around. So it could be that the baby was moving while she was sleeping and this carried over into her dream. Legs and feet represent movement, especially forwards. This was a subconscious preparation for the birth. “I dreamt that my baby was born without a face! He was absolutely perfect in every other way, but he didn’t have eyes, a mouth or a nose.” – Delores Anderson, mom to five-weekold Isabelle Helen says: On one level, this is not strange at all as the baby had not been born yet and she had no idea what he would look like. On another level, she is indicating confusion or anxiety about the way forward. Life changes after a baby.
