THE SINGLE LIFE

-

I was in a relationship for five years, and when I fell pregnant, the father of my baby gave me an ultimatum: him or the baby. I chose my baby and he subsequently ended our relationship and kicked me out of our home. It was a really difficult time, and I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for my wonderful mother. I moved to Durban to relax and enjoy my pregnancy, when I received the news that my best friend was in a relationship with the father of my child. I have never felt pain so deep in my life. The battles I faced were difficult ones, but I knew I would win the war. I was lucky to have an easy pregnancy and was able to give birth naturally. I was given a precious gift, my little girl. And nothing else matters more than her. CHANTELLE
