Last click of the shutter for Nobby
THE Zululand community mourns the passing over the weekend of popular photographer Nobby Clarke, who had relocated to Johannesburg after the death of his beloved wife Natalie.
However, he stayed in almost daily contact with the many friends he endeared himself to here.
Nobby sadly succumbed to cancer after intense chemotherapy treatment during a phase when he was in high demand among real estate companies as a commercial photographer.
He would often share how his beloved dog Chunky would wait patiently for him to return home from hospital visits.
A former telecommunications technician in the Eastern Cape, Nobby was best known as a multi award-winning wildlife photographer whose images had graced national and international studios.
Special tribute was paid by Paul Scherzer, chairperson of the Beachcombers Photography Club.
‘We are saddened at his passing. After joining the club in 2011 he quickly proved to be one of the most active members whose standard of excellence was something most will spend their
lives trying to emulate.
‘He was never too busy to share his knowledge, and helped members whenever they asked for advice, even once while busy photographing a leopard in the Kruger Park.
‘He encouraged each one to look at the positives, learn from the negatives and never stop striving to improve their photography.
‘We were blessed to have his images as part of our history. We are all richer for having known him and his contribution will be missed.’
Nobby leaves a loving daughter, son and granddaughter.
