It’s Horings & Dorings time!

The Horings & Dorings Hluhluwe Festival is taking place this weekend. This three-day event promises to be a feast of family fun, with live music, stalls and numerous activities to keep festival-goers entertained.

Friday kicks off with skydiving in the morning, while gates to the festival officially open at 3pm.

Patrons can enjoy some bar games while waiting for Priscilla, Jennifer Zamudio and Pieter Koen to take to the stage.

Saturday is set to be a busy day, with gates opening at 7am. Skydiving will set the tone for the day before the Farm Jam starts. Browse the stalls or socialise

in the bar, where there will be Battlefield beer pong and games throughout the day.

Mr and Miss Ananas will be crowned at 1pm, which is also when the rodeo mechanical bull will be put to the test.

Mtuba Dance Academy will take to the stage at 4pm, followed by Steven Reynolds, Pieter Smith, Steve Hofmeyr, Juanita du Plessis and Wikus Botma.

On Sunday, coffee and food stalls open at 6am before the start of the MTB race and fun run/walk.

Watch more skydivers at 8am and head to the bar at 10am for some last-minute socialising before the festival officially ends at 2pm.

Throughout the weekend, there will be snake and crocodile shows, as well as a fun kids' zone.

Being 'pineapple country', all festival-goers will receive a free pineapple as a gesture of appreciation for their patronage. Fresh pineapples will also

be on sale throughout the weekend at the pineapple tent.

For the adventurous, there will be tandem skydiving opportunities throughout the weekend at R3 000 a jump, R500 of which goes towards the Hluhluwe K9 unit.
