Spread your wings and fly
THE Felixton College 2022 Academic Awards and Valedictory Ceremony on Friday evening was an incredibly powerful recognition of the achievements of pupils throughout the high school in academics, sport and culture.
As they ended their school careers and prepared for final exams which begin this week, the Grade 12 class was celebrated as they accepted their various awards, delivered moving speeches to their teachers and families, and delighted at the naming of the 2023 leaders.
Formal addresses were delivered by college headmaster Wayne Rademan and college council chairperson Pius Masinga.
Outgoing headgirl Luthando Kunene and headboy Alister Reddy handed over their important leadership roles to Kelly Schnell and Mvuso Ntshsangase respectively.
Their executives were named as Stacey Lotter, Mzwandile Mthiyane, Simon Scherzer, Azile Hlengwa and Ntokozo Ntuli.
