Anicca

In Venice, briccola is the name of the nautical structure made of oak piles and used for mooring boats and gondolas – a structure which also displays the level of the tides. After years submerged in the bay, the material this structure is made of is gradually carved out by shellfish and, eventually, it deteriorates; however, once out of the water, a second life awaits it – its unique texture and history are very much valued by great decorators.

One of the companies that has managed to get ahold of this valuable material is Anicca. This interactive showcase for technical finishes for construction projects, bathrooms, and kitchens features –at its headquarters in San Sebastián– a spectacular table that measures 4 meters in size and was created with briccolas.that table is a good example of the brand’s philosophy: a belief in the circular economy, constant evolution, and authenticity.

In its search for unique materials, Anicca became the only representative in Gipuzkoa of the number-one Italian kitchen brand, Scavolini. With more than half a century of history behind it and a presence in 50 countries, this exclusive brand has collections that allow for maximum customization, able to adapt to the taste and culture of anyone and the result of great technological investment combined with exquisite names in design, like the Japanese firm Nendo, with Oki Sato at the helm, and the experience of Chef Carlo Cracco.
