Eguzkilore

JEWELER

-

The Zuluaga family has spent a lifetime surrounded by gold, platinum, pearls, diamonds, and other precious stones; it seems like a dream, but to create jewelry with feeling has been –and is– the passion of this long-standing line of jewelers who love their profession. It is currently master jeweler Ander Zuluaga who takes charge of designing and producing custom jewelry in the shop’s workshop, leaving it up to the customer to select the material and its possible combinations and finishes.

In 2007, his desire for improvement and innovation brought him to create a unique jewel based on Basque mythology – a jewel meant to protect and guard: Eguzkilore (name composed of the words eguzki –sun– and lore –flower– in Basque, which is the name given to silver thistles). In days

gone by, this flower was hung in the entrance of homes to protect them because it was believed that it possessed the beneficial properties of the sun, able to drive away the evil spirits and any other material and immaterial dangers with its light. Aiming to create exclusive jewelry that would keep up the tradition of guarding and protecting, the brand Eguzkilore came into existence.

The Zuluaga Eguzkilore boutiques of Bilbao, Vitoria, San Sebastián, Galdakao, and Amorebieta have a special wedding jewelry space known as Eguzkiboda – a place where a human team with extensive knowledge in jewelry and visagism offers personalized attention and advice for choosing jewelry for weddings. Eguzkiboda has the broadest variety of wedding bands on the market, as well as engagement rings and earrings, making it the best option for a couple’s big day.
