San Sebastián

-

The prestigious British newspaper The Independent defines San Sebastián as “The Gastronomic Capital of Spain.” Travel+leisure Magazine includes it amongst the “15 Best European Cities.” The Guardian and Trip Advisor have named La Concha “Europe’s Best Beach.” The magazine Family Traveler puts the city “amongst the best national family vacation locations,” and the Australian magazine Traveler has classified it amongst “the world’s most underrated destinations in 2019.”

The impact that San Sebastián is having in prestigious media outlets around the world is enormous, and this is due to the firm commitment that the city and the tourism sector have entered into in hopes of creating a destination of quality – one that is different and has services that are on par with the most demanding of visitors.

The factor that has most influenced San Sebastián’s popularity on the world scene is its gastronomy. A total of 18 Michelin stars in a radius of 25 kilometers have made the city a favorite of food lovers. In addition to that, we must not forget the broad range of cultural offerings that the city has, the variety of events, an attractive identity, and the interest aroused by the fact that its language is one of the oldest of Europe.

As well as the “innate” charms of San Sebastián, there are a range of high-level services like lodging (boutique and luxury hotels and magnificent rental homes), as well as travel agencies specializing in accompanying travelers and designing stays with real local experiences in which nature, the sea, the mountains, the culture, and the villages that surround the city can all be discovered.

Along with all that, San Sebastián has been able to stand out for its peacefulness, safety, and for having been designed for the enjoyment of the pedestrian, making it very easy to mingle with locals – and that is precisely what the most discerning travelers are looking for: destinations where quality of life, safety, and comfort are guaranteed.
