HOTEL

-

There are few pieces of news as exciting as the opening of a new luxury hotel; and, if the hotel is located in one of the Basque Country’s most emblematic places, like La Concha Bay, the degree of expectation is even higher.villa Favorita is to be inaugurated at the beginning of the year under that premise, in the last of the historic villas remaining in the promenade. Despite having kept the protected façades and the building’s French style intact, the interior has been fully updated while respecting the spirit of the early twentieth century.

The hotel has 23 luxurious rooms, 18 of which have a sea view and 5 with city views. Tranquility is one of the main values that Villa Favorita wants to ensure. Therefore, they have decided to make their establishment for adults only. To ensure absolute privacy, some common areas like the terrace and the lounge bar are for the exclusive use of guests and diners in the restaurant. villa Favorita and Hotel de Londres are managed by the same entity, guaranteeing a solid backbone to respond to the special needs of their guests. Even so, each of the two hotels has its own character and personality, making their styles unique.

Gastronomy is the great surprise with which Villa Favorita opens its doors,as it will have a restaurant with a Michelin star: Amelia, which will be moving from Calle Prim to this new location.the award-winning chef Paulo Airaudo, recognized by the French guide for his immaculate work at the restaurant’s helm, will be in charge of designing the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners which will feature seasonal ingredients and aim to bring back forgotten products. The wine list is based on organic and biodynamic labels from all over the world. So that guests can try the greatest possible variety of wines, 90% of the labels can be ordered by the glass. Airaudo has worked in some of the world’s best restaurants, amongst which arethe Fat Duck, arzak, and Magnolia, and he has even won a previous star for his work at the trattoriastyle restaurant which he ran in Geneva.

Villa Favorita will once again raise the bar for the hospitality sector in San Sebastián with a clear aim for privacy, luxury, and excellent cuisine. Its unbeatable location and the privilege of the best views of the city promise sure success.
