LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR
At last, it seems that we have left behind the tumultuous times where there wasn’t any cultural event, fair, trip, and meeting. Little by little, normalcy is being recovered – and so, too, are we recovering the possibility of traveling and discovering.
The Basque Country, like the rest of the world, has suffered from the harshness of the restrictions; nevertheless, the recovery is going quite quickly – especially in terms of luxury tourism.the companies in the sector have made an extraordinary effort to stay afloat, maintaining their quality standards and highly demanding criteria.this issue of BASQUE LUXURY MAGAZINE is dedicated to them.
The magazine that you currently hold is starred by Juan Ignacio Vidarte, Director General at Guggenheim Museum Bilbao
– an institution that is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary this year. However, vidarte is not the only relevant player who accompanies us through these pages, as the magazine also has the contribution of Maximilian Riedel, CEO and President of Riedel, and that of Baroness Ariane de Rothschild.
The international section will help familiarize you with the ins and outs of one of the most important watch manufacturers in the world, Patek Philippe, and also take you to the French capital, guided by the renowned writer Frédéric Beigbeder.
In addition to reporting on the great new arrivals to the Basque Country, such as the inauguration of artwork by Cristina Iglesias on Santa Clara Island in San Sebastián, we have a special section for gourmet hotels: luxury accommodation options that stand out for their unique culinary commitment.
Likewise, we are very happy to announce an important new service: the launch of BASQUE LUXURY HELICOPTER, the first helicopter flight service in the Basque Country.
Enjoy the trip.
