Winning ways

Villajoyosa rugby club continued with its good form at the weekend with a massive 7-43 win away toTecnidex Valencia at the Quatre Carreres ground.

The La Vila team hit the ground running and scored its first try within three minutes and by half time the lead was insurmountable.

Despite losing players to the sin bin during the second half, La Vila held off all of the Tecnidex attacks and in doing so picked up five very valuable points for having scored four tries into the bargain.

Next up is a home match against fierce rival CAU Valencia this Sunday (October 4) with La Vila seeking revenge over the team that ended their play-off hopes last season.
