Minors arrested over Jálon fight death

TWO minors yesterday (Thursday) appeared before a minors' judge accused of participat­ing in the fight that led to the death of a 24-year-old man outside the Can Tallarina nightclub in Jalón on Sunday.

The victim died outside the nightspot on Sunday night. The brawl began at 23:30 in the car park on the main road in Jalon, which is opposite the nightclub.

At least four people (including the victim) were involved in the fight that then spilled onto the main road.

According to witnesses, the man was killed by a fatal kick to his head, as he lay defenceles­s in the road.

The deceased man, named as Alejandro Pavia Flores, had travelled to the venue from Villalonga and he worked for the Dul- cesol bakery in Gandia.

His body has been taken to Alicante for an autopsy.

Guardia Civil investigat­ing events leading up to the fight concentrat­ed their search for the attackers in Benissa, where they believed the alleged assailants resided.

Officers searched for and found two minors, both Morrocans of unknown age who both appeared in court yesterday. Their identities have not been disclosed.

A third attacker, identified as a Romanian adult is still on the run and being sought for by police..

Can Tallarina is a very popular bar and nightclub, with hundreds of people travelling long distances to attend the ‘crazy Sunday’ weekly disco.
