Benidorm British businesses united
Officially registered association will be 'inaugurated' next month with the British vice-consul, the Mayor and police representatives attending
FOLLOWING a summer break, Benidorm’s British Businesses Association (BBBA) reconvened on Tuesday evening for their regular monthly meetings.
Karen Maling-Cowles - President was delighted to announce that they are now an officially registered association, therefore enabling them to accept membership from businesses.
There will be an official inauguration on Tuesday, October 16 at 11.00 to which Mayor Toni Perez, British Vice Consul Elizabeth Bell and representatives from the police, have all been invited.
The objective of the association is to share ideas, as well as worries affecting businesses in the resort and offer support and solutions – as the saying goes, a problem shared is a problem solved.
There is a good cross section of businesses, from retailers to those in the hospitality and media sector, for who the Brit- ish holiday market makes up an important and prominent sector.
They are authorized to collect 'padrón' applications on behalf of Benidorm town hall and will shortly be publishing a schedule of times and venues for the coming months.
Any residents who need help with the process are encouraged to attend and their papers will be delivered back to them the following week.
The association has an excellent working relationship with the authorities, police and consul therefore able to discuss any issues and concerns expressed during the monthly meetings.
The Benidorm British Business association’s next monthly meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 6 at the La Torreta Social Centre and all businesses are encouraged to attend as united they are stronger and can make things happen.
