Computer Club

- By Victor Waldorff

We meet in the Sierra Bernia School every Saturday; our next meeting is planned for Saturday, January 26. Doors are open from10am, and talks and demonstrations begin at 10.30am.

In the first session John continues to inform users of Windows 10 about the fall update, and generally help with problems in this and earlier versions of Windows.

For the members interested in photography and PC graphics Jenny will lead a debate about how to take better photos, and demonstrate the use of “Photoshop”, the advanced picture creating and editing program. This is the chance to get rid of unloved family relations – at least on photos – in a much faster and more efficient way than possible in the old Soviet Union!

Users of Laptops working on individual projects also meet.

From 11.30am until 12noon we have a break for coffee or tea and a chat, then second session of meetings begin.

Jenny and Roger demonstrate "All things Apple", showing how to use iPads, iPhones, or Mackintoshes in the most efficient way.

John demonstrates Touchscreen tablets with Windows or Android OS installed, and advice about which new freeware apps are worth downloading.

The Laptop group continues work.
