The first game of 2019 was held at Lo Romero and not a cloud in the sky!

A special mention should be made about the course and its excellent condition. As one of the best courses in the area it certainly lived up to its reputation and exceeded our expectations, from the hospitality received in the Clubhouse to the cooperation of the pro-shop, mobile refreshments and on course Marshalls. It was pleasure to visit and play one of the premier courses in Murcia.

The day was well supported by members and guests, with 36 players out in the field but a particular mention goes to the lady members and guests, Carol, Skye, Paula and Caroline; for the first time in our history the Ladies made up a very competitive 4 ball and from what we hear, had a great day.

We welcome our new

members Caroline and Duncan Anderton, Paula and Ross Winwood, Jack Wilson and Paul Brimble. Welcome all!

Winner - Albert Thrupp (12), 41 Points

Runner Up - Clive Williams (36) with Captain Tim, 37 Points

Albert ran away with the competition returning a superb score of 41 points off a 12 handicap. On the day, there was no living with him, runner up Clive also managed an excellent score of 37 points, a particular mention of his stunning front 9 score of 24 points, but although finding the back 9 more difficult he held on and closed his round finishing second to Albert Ladies Long Drive:Carol

A very special thanks to Hils and Luis for the welcome and excellent food provided at the Lismo in the evening with Roy at the helm of the fines.

Captain Tim as always ensured we had a special day, and on behalf of all members and guests we thank him for his efforts. Our next outing in February will at Vistabella and we have to report that the membership, for the moment, is now closed.
