Alfaz Fantasy football league

-

There were Nine 4th round F.A. Cup ties which involved Premier League teams that gave the Alfaz Fantasy football league it's lowest scoring week so far this season with the average score being a very modest 17 points.

Overall there were 31 goals, 6 clean sheets, 20 yellow cards and no red ones.

Once again, most Premier League managers made a raft of changes to their normal 1st eleven which was the main reason for such a low scoring week. With West Ham, Everton and Spurs all paying the price there is now only seven Premier League teams left in the competition.

John's team Wee Aggies once again had their advantage at the top of the Alfaz Fantasy Football League slashed to only 18 points by the inform Andrew's team Ballers.

Barbra XI moved back into the top three after a couple of weeks away while Nick's Black Cats moved up four places to 5th spot.

Down at the very foot of the table, Gary's Upside Team still have a lot to do to get out of the hole they have dug for themselves, as they are now a massive 83 points behind Kim's Ginger United.

Olly F.C. have maintained their place at the summit of our junior league for the last 6 weeks, currently they have a very fragile 6 point lead over former front-runner of this section Harley's Ginger Ninjar.

Blue Moon F.C. have slotted back into a top 3 position and are waiting for the door to open to allow them to challenge for the top spot. At the other end of the table, Fleetwood Gian are struggling to keep pace with the rest of the teams and are now 28 points behind Tom's Real City.

There is no change at the top of our Mark Carter ladies section where Barbra's XI have managed to fight of the challenge from Linda's Team Tapas who moved to within 1 point of them last week.

However, this week the leaders extended their advantage to a slender 4 points. Kim's Ginger United have returned to their rightful spot at the bottom of this section after being there for 12 weeks in the early part of the season. Five points is the gap between them and Liz's Cookies Crew.

In our Across the Costa's Golden Boot League, Bill's East Fifers are showing no signs of surrendering the top spot even though they failed to pick up any points this week.

Nick's Black Cats closed the gap on them to 24 points.

Most managers in this league are suffering like Spurs with the absence of Harry Kane.

Lloris and Gromit are in 3rd place and all top three teams have him in their lineup.

Liz's Cookies Crew are still holding everybody else up at the bottom and have they been joined by Ross's Casper bar who are just 5 points above them.

The last two teams to go into our January wine draw are our top scoring team which was Nick's Black Cats with a tally of 47 points and our lowest scoring team which was Hugo's Spleendidmegood Utd with an unbelievable minus 8 courtesy of Spurs Trippier who scored a -5 thanks to his missed penalty against Crystal Palace.

Burnley's Tarkowski also waded in with a three and the rest of his team didn't play.

Manager of the month for January has been kindly sponsored by Mona’s Restaurant in Albir who provide excellent food in very pleasant surroundings and the lucky winner this month is Terry's Hup Hannah City who just pipped Lee's Athletico Higgo by 8 points.

Terry and his good lady will enjoy a super meal for 2 at this very classy restaurant.

Dave's team The Hatters have a slight 4-point advantage over Liz's team Cookies Crew 61 at the top of our F.A, cup league after the 4th Round.

Nick's Blues are in 3rd place followed by Isabel's team The Bluebells.

All top four managers are Manchester City Fans so we know a good run in the F.A.Cup will give one of them a great chance of winning this section.

No changes at the top or bottom of our Champion of Champions League as Pauline's Vodka had their control at the top cut to 24 points by Joe's Keith Lard F.C. while at the opposite end Dave's Hatters trail Micky's Walkden Town Res by a formidable 60 points.

There is a busy week ahead for the A.F.F.L. with 2 lots of fixtures going into the mix and also the Transfer Window closes so it's worthwhile reminding Fantasy Managers that if one of your Players moves to another team in the Premier League it makes no difference to the points collected.

If they move out of the Premier League like Chelsea's Fabregas you are just unlucky.
