Tight Lines Fishing

Abbey Angling

The 3rd round of the Abbey Angling Cup was fished at the El Bosquet Complex Section B on January 22.

There was frost on the vegetation when we arrived first thing, with temperatur­es down to minus two, and for the rest of the day it stayed overcast and very cold.

Dave Hutchinson continues with his winning run to take the top spot once again with 17.560kgs, coming in second place with a big drop in weight to 8.840kgs was Neil McBirnie and I managed to take the third spot with 8.200kgs

Our 4th round of the Winter Championsh­ip was also fished at the El Bosquet Complex Section B on the January 23.

It was again a cold day but with a blustery wind, making presentati­on very hard on the pole, but it did not stop Steve Budd from taking the top spot with 12.120kgs (Well done), Neil McBirnie was in second place with 11.200kgs and coming in third with 8.460kgs was Bill Reade
