View into the world of monasteries!

On Wednesday, February 13 the Senior Group of the NAC (www.nac-denia.com) will be organising a special trip once again.

We leave our church at 9.30am by bus to the royal monastery of Santa Maria in Puig. A very impressive building with four striking towers, start of construction in 1200!

High above the village Puig lies this historically most interesting monastery. There we have the opportunity to get to know the monastery through a guided tour in German.

Also the museum of printing is worth seeing. Afterwards a delicious buffet awaits us in the hotel restaurant Olympia in Puig, Cost is €12 per person (without drinks).

Strengthened, we then set off for another monastery complex, the San Miguel de Los Reyes, in Valencia, which can only be visited by a city guide. The complex dates back to the 16th century and has a lot to offer. Today it houses the library of Valencia.

After the sightseeing we drive back to Denia and should be back by 5.30pm in front of our church.

The cost of the bus trip is €10 per person and the entrance fee to the monastery in Puig €4 plus the cost of the city guide, €5.

The visit of the monastery in Valencia is free.
