Mónica Jover's mystery of life and creation
AN EXHIBITION by the Alcoy artist Mónica Jover is taking place at the Juan Gil-Albert cultural institute’s Casa Bardín in Alicante until April 5.
Named ‘Del misterio de la vida y de lo creado’ (from the mystery of life and everything that has been created), it features a total of 30 works including drawings, collages and acrylics, commissioned by the cultural commentator and professor of contemporary art Isabel Tejeda, and forms part of the Arte en la Casa Bardín cycle.
The exhibition focuses on ‘deconstructing and rebuilding work on canvas, creating a record of the moment in which everything is assembled and joined through a thread that acts as an element and conductor of spaces’.
Mónica Jover has held more than 20 individual exhibitions in addition to various collective displays and has a degree in fine art at Valencia polytechnic university, as well as having studied at La Cambre superior national school of visual arts in Brussels.
Arte en la Casa Bardín is a series of 33 exhibitions making Alicante city an obligatory stop for lovers of contemporary art who wish to see artists linked to the province, either through birth, or residence.
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 09.00-14.30 and 16.30-20.30. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Casa Bardín is situated at Calle San Fernando 44, Alicante.
