Computer Club

- By Victor Waldorff

We meet in the Sierra Bernia School every Saturday; our next meeting takes place on Saturday, 16 February. Doors are open from ten am, and talks and demonstrations begin at 10.30am.

In the first session John continues to inform users of Windows 10 about which changes to expect from the spring upgrade, expected in a couple of months from now. He will also help users with present problems in Windows 10, and earlier versions of Windows.

For the members interested in PC graphics and photography in general, Jenny and Roger will lead a debate about what to do to take impressive photos. They will also demonstrate how to create and edit pictures with “Photoshop”, the state of the art program, used by professionals.

Laptops users working on individual projects also meet at this time.

From 11.30am until 12noon we have a break for coffee, smoke and a chat, then second session of meetings begin.

Jenny and Roger demonstrate "All things Apple", showing the use of iPads, iPhones, or Macintoshes in the most efficient way.

John demonstrates Touch-screen tablets with Windows or Android OS installed, and advice about new freeware apps. Last Saturday he demonstrated the free version of “Duplicate Cleaner Free 4” for Windows 10, 8, and 7, an efficient and very fast program.
