Results for September 16 Firstly apologies for no report last week but I had rather a lot of decorating and DIY to do. I won’t ‘gloss’ over the fact though that Nick Lee was ‘top coat’ in last week’s Joker Stableford with 45 points.

‘Rollover’ to Monday and it was Paul Brown, Benedicte Kruse, Annemarie Weisheit and the fictional Albert who ‘sealed’ victory in the counter game with a not to be ‘caulked’ at score of 95 points.

It was certainly no ‘whitewash’ for Rachel Lee in Wednesday’s Stableford as she ‘nailed’ 1st place with 38 points but only on countback over Mike Mahony, (looks like he’s been reunited with his golf clubs then!) Joyce McClusky ‘filled in the cracks’ of the top three with 36. Showing some ‘medium grit’ Liz Robertson ‘dovetailed’ into 4th place with 35 points. Three of our members ‘hammered’ home a 2 today, Liz Robertson, Nigel Price and, obviously in his ‘prime(r)’, Nick Lee.

Our thoughts this week go to Andy McDonald who had a bit of a ‘light bulb’ going out moment and got his ‘wires’ crossed before the game started. Maybe it was his ‘short fuse’. Get well soon mate!

Onto Friday and it was the good old 3-2-1 Dusty (sheet) Bin. Liz and Ken Robertson together with Nick Lee (yes again) and Rachel Leckey (welcome back Rachel) who ‘adapted’ well and took 1st place with a ‘brilliant white’ 94 points. (Just two points short of our all-time record). ‘Soldering’ on into 2nd spot, with 89 points, were Rachel Lee, John Shervell, Benedicte Kruse and Jan Svendsen.

Lastly, John Dobson, who was probably ‘plastered’, says to his caddy, ‘Please stop checking your watch all the time. It’s too much of a distraction’. Caddy replies, ‘It’s not a watch it’s a compass’.
