Music Unlimited choir concert

-

Music Unlimited, a small but select choir formed a decade ago by Joanna Baldwin, will give a choral concert on November 3 in the church of San Francisco de Paula in El Rafol d'Almunia at 5pm.

It is a coincidence that this choir's inaugural concert was also given in Rafol. For this concert, the choir will be directed by Gordon Lawson, since the main work in the programme is his most recent choral work entitled ‘A Mass For Peace’. Other music in the programme includes madrigals and part songs by English, Hungarian and Canadian

composers. On this occasion, the choir will be joined by a quartet of Spanish singers from the province of Valencia who have a special role in the mass since the choral forces include passages for them as soli, plus the soprano soloist, Rosemary Jukic. Also on this occasion, the accompaniment is for piano. The accompanist is Claudio Corbo, a distinguished concert pianist who comes from Beniarjó.
