A taste of the Vega Baja

Food tastings, showcookin­g and children's workshops are just some of the attraction­s at the festival

THE FOURTH Vega Baja gastro-cultural festival, Gastrovega­baja takes place at the municipal leisure centre (CMO), behind Habaneras commercial centre, Torrevieja from today (Friday, October 25) until Sunday.

A total of 13 Vega Baja restaurant­s – one each from Guardamar del Segura, Callosa de Segura, Rojales and Pilar de la Horadada, and nine from Torrevieja – are highlighti­ng the best of their gastronomy in show cooking and food tasting events throughout the weekend.

The festival also features art, music, theatre, lectures, and children’s activities and workshops.

The event is open from 10.00-19.30 on all three days.

Tapas and food tastings are €3.
