Valldigna Golf Society

-

I would like to thank all those who turned up for our game last Tuesday, some of you must have been wondering after Monday’s heavy showers whether we would be playing.

As you know the course dries out very quickly and was up to its A1+ standard.

I always get kind of twitchy when bad weather is around as to who may drop out however I was very pleased that everyone turned up.

As usual it turned out to be a splendid day. The breeze abated after the first 6 or 7 holes and we were left with a perfect day to play golf.

The greens were as slick as normal there was never a time to relax on those short quick par or birdie putts.

It must be said that as always when we returned to the club house everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.

We do hope that Carls glasses are still in one piece. It was also good stuff when the prizes were distributed to those that won and those that almost won, a good share of the bounty went to our own Valldigna players.

Though Edetania still walked away with one or two nice prizes.

Don Cubbon brought up his Poppy Day goodies which was well contributed to, “Lest we forget” as they say. I hope to see as many of you as possible for our November game. We have additional games/ prizes planned in celebration of a very special member whose birthday it is on our next game.

If you want to join us for a great day, our next Competition is on the November 12. Email us at valldignagolfsoc @hotmail.com for further information
