The Arts Society Marina Alta

-

The Arts Society Marina Alta is nearing the end of it’s third season on a high. We have met our commitment to our members in providing eight excellent, or in some cases outstanding presentations, in 2019. And in addition, to the Marina Alta artists, a platform to showcase their talents at our annual Arts Fair in Teulada.

Although we do have a strong core of local residents who are members, and a significant number of visitors to each of our presentations, we would welcome all to join us in our 2020 season and enjoy the benefits of our Society. The Society is a member of the acclaimed Arts Society UK, and is working to advance, educate and promote our cultural heritage.

As a full member of the Society, for which the fee for joining has been continued for the fourth year at €50, which is only achievable with the generous support of our sponsors, you would share in the many benefits including:

The opportunity to hear eight illustrated presentations per year given by top experts in their fields. These inspired lecturers are carefully selected by The Arts Society and will be flown out specifically to speak to us on the Marina Alta and not elsewhere. Our events take place at the delightful and accessible venue of Salones Canor, Teulada, on the first

Thursday of each month.

Entitlement to a Quarterly copy of The Arts Society Review magazine with articles on art, events, travel, which is terrific read and a much admired addition to any coffee table.

You may participate in educational and cultural visits organised by the committee locally and further afield, solely for our members. There are also concessions and offers in the UK and abroad as detailed in The Arts Society review.

There is also the opportunity to play an active role in the running of the Society as a Committee Member or volunteer.

In addition, at the end of each presentation we provide soft drinks and a glass of wine to enable members and guests to socialise with each other, the Committee and the Presenter. You may wish to discuss the lecture, ask questions or just to comment on what was agreeable or have ideas to improve the occasion.

Our new programme starts in January (which will be a real blockbuster) and runs through to December… with mince pies for all.

For more information and details of membership please contact Jane , the membership secretary, at membership@ marinaaltaarts.com or details of the Society can be found on our website www.marinaaltaarts.com.
