For the second year running, Jalón will celebrate ‘BèrniaFest’, otherwise known as the weekend of the mountain. The event, which attracted crowds of over 5,000 last year, takes place this weekend, November 2 and 3.

Along with BèrniaFest, there will also be a second camper van meeting in Jalón plaza, which will include prizes for the best customised vans. The new VW camper will also be on display in the plaza. For those attending in camper vans, overnight parking will be available, as will breakfast. To participate in the exhibition, you need to email camperxalo@gmail.com.

Throughout Saturday and Sunday, there will be a series of children's and youth activities linked to the mountains. For example, the climbing wall in the sports centre will be open, and youngsters can also enjoy zip wires and visit other mountain related workshops. In addition, on Saturday afternoon at 17.00 in the plaza, there will be a performance by the Dolç Tab Jazz Project.

The farmers market, Mercat de la Terra, will also have an important role in the BèrniaFest with its special edition. In this case, the main theme of the market will be the production of olive oil. This will be held on Saturday, November 2.

Again, on Saturday, there will also be the ‘Jalón Trail’. This is where the restaurants and bars of the town will offer menus and special dishes related to mountain cuisine for all.

On Sunday, the mountain race Bodegas Xaló Bèrnia Moscatel Trail will be one of the highlights. It will be held in three modes: 23 kilometres, 15 kilometres and a 15-kilometre walking route. The route is one of great landscape value as it crosses the Bernia mountain range through natural beauty spots such as Devesa, the Negre canyon, the Ferrer mountain range, the Masserof, Les Planisses and the Cau canyon. Also, in the framework of the sport of mountain running, the

Ultra Experience will take place on Friday, November 1. This is when runners will talk about their experiences in races they have competed in, in which the length was over 100 kilometres.
