What happened to Jenny?!

The 10 members of the Marina Alta Golf Society and their 2 guests played a singles Stableford game at the Oliva Nova course on Monday October 28. The morning started off as another beautiful morning for playing golf with the temperature about the 22C mark and a light breeze was blowing, the course as expected was in good condition. However, overcast weather conditions later prevailed but this did not deter the players who were still able to enjoy their game.

Well judging by the scores handed in later, the weather conditions must have been to some players liking, if you don’t believe me ask Dave Reid after reading the results.

In 1st place was Dave Reid with a whopping 41 points off a 14 handicap. In 2nd place was Allan McManus with another whopping score of 39 points off a 27 handicap. Not to let the men take all the glory, in 3rd place was Jenny Downes with 36 points off a 31 handicap.Well done all three and you can expect your handicaps to be adjusted by the next time you play.

There was no 2’s recorded today. NTP winners were, on Hole 3 and in 2 shots on Hole 5 it was that man Dave Reid again, Hole 16 saw Keith Sinden take the prize.

The Marina Alta Golf Society is a small but friendly group of players who play every Monday at the Oliva Nova course with first Tee time being about 10.40.
